REGISTRAR
The Registrar is the chief administrative officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards those for which the Deputy Vice- Chancellors and Bursar are responsible. He is secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
Functions of the Registrar
The duties of the Registrar include the following:
i. Serves as the Secretary to the University Governing Council, the Senate, Congregation and Convocation as well as Secretary to all Committees of Council and Senate;
ii. Responsible for the general administration and co-ordination of the activities of the administrative components of the University;
iii. Responsible for the implementation of the policies and decisions of the University Governing Council and Senate, as well as the various Committees of Council and Senate;
iv. Liaises with all the administrative heads of the various units and employee associations and unions with a view to creating harmonious environment for the operations of the University; and
v. Serves as the chief and safe custodian for all the University records and documents including the University Seal, Certificates, Agreements, etc.
